From the challenge of Pupuke, we headed North to the Seaside Town of Mangawhai.
Now well known for it’s new neighbour Tara Iti.
The old Mangawhai course is no where near as expensive, but she is still a great test of Golf when the wind is blowing!
Very dry conditions again, a lot of run in the fairways and not so nice bounces, but with a generous preferred lie local rule in place kept scores under control.
A par 5 with following wind and dry fairway meant a lot of players hit Driver- Lob wedge to setup Eagle chances, then arguably the toughest Par 4 in the Country would take the shots straight back.
Winning score was 67 pretty good under the conditions.
A great Holiday destination, off the track a bit, fishing and surfing and Golf, what more could you ask for.
